Crochette hat and cheese bread seahorse

This last week has been really fun.  And while I'm typing, Maia Cordelia is pulling my hair as she sits in  one of those child backpack carriers.  I guess this gives here the best view of what I'm doing.

Blanca, Miguel's mom, made some hats for the kids.  Here's a shot of Maia Cordelia wearing hers.
Lily Penelope this last week was being really creative.  When I was driving to pick up some stuff I found on Craig's List she was eating a bread with cheese on it.  Then she started saying "Sea Horse".  She had cut the bread in the shape of a sea horse with here mouth.  Here's a photo of the cheese bread sea horse.

So naturally, being the proud father I be I created a cast of the sea horse in plaster.  Yes, I am using LEGO as the form for the plaster mold.  LEGO is great for form work!

And so you may ask yourself, what am I to do with this casting?  Well, I will be making copies of the sea horse out of silicon for everyone and maybe I will attempt to sell them on eBay.  ;)  I know you will want one.

In other News, Lily Penelope and Blanca faced off with light sabers.

Now that looks like fun.

I haven't made any posts lately because we've just been really busy and I've been buying and selling LEGO's and also been studying for my exam.
But, when you see the pictures below you know why I have to put all that stuff away and breath.

eeeewwww timing belt...

Well the timing belt went out in the truck this morning.  Talk about great timing...

Plane Crash

So after spending many hours working on the airplane it was sad to say that on Saturday, February 13th, the plane met its end as it careened out of control straight into the ground approximately 3 seconds into flight.
Runi caught the whole incident on film, and although sad, it was rather funny.
We were able to recover the black box from the airplane and the data showed pilot error.  Upon take off the plane went up in the air and down, rather than fly.  So must have been pilot error.

New Princess Dress For Lily Penelope

So Runi made a beautiful princess dress for Lily Penelope. 

Time seems to be flying by with the kids. Lily's really starting to pretend play more and Maia is crawling all over and very vocal. If you don't pay attention to her she verbally assaults you with baby words.

Vrooom Vroom

So Runi made a car out of an old crib we had by putting a steering wheel on it.  Of course Miguel wanted to add wheels and hydraulics but for now the car is fine.

Growing kids

So a lot has happened in the last few days. Maia just cut another tooth! It's kind of funny because its not the upper front tooth that normally comes out second, its the tooth next to it... She's going to look like a vampire... Lily is finally making some progress with the potty training.  Yesterday she wasn't wearing a diaper for a little while, and twice when she had to pee, she ran to the bathroom and said she had to go pee pee. So we are hoping that this will be the end of diapers for Lily, at least during the daytime.
